FASHION WEEK: Alexander McQueen snakes billboard...

Alexander McQueen snakes fashion billboardForget New York Fashion Week, today marks the start of Daily Billboard's very own FASHION WEEK extravaganza. Prepare to be wowed by style, beauty and fabulousness.

I hate snakes and I'm not much of a fashionista, but I do love good design and innovation, so I think this new Alexander McQueen billboard above his flagship L.A. store is simply stunning.

This wonderfully colourful billboard is a real attention-grabber with it's eye-catching imagery and it stands outs fantastically well on the corner of Melrose Avenue and Orlando Avenue in the heart of West Hollywood.

The photograph was taken on February 10, 2010, the day after a big thunderstorm, temporarily clearing the air of all that Los Angeles pollution, so the sky is crisp, clear and amazingly blue.

This billboard really is a remarkable advertisement for the designer fashion brand, but all I can think is that's money very well earned for that poor model wreathed in all those snakes.

The creativity of this billboard has even more poignancy with the death of the founder and iconic British designer of the unique fashion brand on Wednesday February 11, 2010.
