There's not really that much to say about this simple and colourful billboard for Technicolor, aside for the fact that this is the reason it stands out so much amongst the cluttered L.A. skyline. The simplicity of Technicolor's vibrant logo colours against that black background really does catch your eye as you drive along Sunset Boulevard near their Hollywood HQ.The billboard was photographed on February 13, 2010 around the time that Thomson, the French-headquartered electronics and media conglomerate, rebranded the entire company after its American film technology subsidiary, Technicolor, from the beginning of February 2010.
Movies famously filmed in Technicolor include The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and many more cinematic classics.
