All good things come to an end, and so it's totally appropriate that 'Vince Chase' and his crew watch the sun rise over L.A. for the eighth, and final, season of Entourage (a sunset would be even more apt, but the sun sets in the west over the Pacific Ocean, not over Downtown).

Even though this is their last TV hoorah, the rumour mill has it that Vince and the boys will be following in the footsteps (or high heels) of Sex and the City and making the jump to the big screen after they bid farewell to television land.

Twilight Stars Discuss 'Breaking Dawn' Sex Scene | Hollywood | Hollywood Latest News

robert pattinson and kristen stewartThe Harry Potter series may be over, but the Twilight saga is still going strong and there's one thing that all Twi-hards want to know for the upcoming film of Breaking Dawn Part 1 -- the details about the highly anticipated sex scene of course!  First comes love, then comes marriage, and now it's time for the moment every Edward and Bella fan has been waiting for - sex!  Robert Pattinson commented on that particular part of the film at Comic-Con this week saying “It’s funny because things like the love scene aren’t really in the book, I guess people will be kind of surprised or interested in what they end up like.” And it sounds like fans aren't going to be disappointed.  Kristen Stewarthinted, “All of the really iconic bits, like the first love scene [are in the movie]...I’ve seen the movie… it’s very, very close to the book. And weadd a few things too, yeah, there’s a few little surprises.”  Let's hope so, we've waited long enough!

Stewart also made mention that she had an unusual amount of access to the author while filming the love scene commenting,
“It’s actually the most Stephenie has been on set, every single day I was able to talk to her all the time, any time I wanted to."  The actress adds, “She’s always been incredibly involved, but not to that extent. So she’s defiantly really infused into this one in sort of an amazing way.”  She probably just wants to make sure the fans aren't robbed of the juicy details that were disappointingly skipped over in the book.  Now's her chance to make up for it.  Fans are thirsty for more!
The first installment of Breaking Dawn hits theaters on November 18, 2011 and and Part 2 will premiere the following year on November 16, 2012.  November seriously can't come soon enough!

Daily Billboard always likes it when comedies make an effort with their movie billboards and don't fall foul of the ubiquitous funny headshot creative.

Angelina questions, and she even fielded questions about international incidents.| Hollywood | Hollywood News

Once again, meh. I might have to turn in my Brangeloonie Platinum Membership Card, but I am so not excited about Angelina’s Bosnian film. I think the whole thing - while made with good intentions - sounds like a hot mess, a disaster of epic proportions. I’m not looking forward to the release, because I feel like Angelina is going to bashed soundly, and she will deserve a great deal of it.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLTTFlwm_kFDvvqoy5GFtoQdZsI_083m7Zv1yJunvJanQ-9GONoLGMKZc47rpIFezCj1z04WKPWA-qTozatpO0eK81ah97FNszX_76YgbfjClTJH-RulusAXS-zSitzEQqMxOPMJL31nQ/s1600/1207-angelina-jolie-johnny-depp-03-480x720.jpg

Press conferences are a strange beast of journalism in any case, but try going to one about a cartoon Chinese bear featuring random, impertinent questions from reporters from seemingly every continent on the planet, except for maybe Antarctica. Then throw in the incongruous pairing of Angelina Jolie with Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman, and you might get close to the bizarre experience that was the Kung Fu Panda 2 press conference at Cannes this morning.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDxszWeaTFbWgN5JHTO4EwWMzgR2KDCN8AyBWc3gq9QUcZTA2tlYgzrvc52AsLYvJzbf5Kx83othsNfQxPgbB1gS3G2M-ew69PdCaZ8l3KIwEDtFjO8-FCPlUavFPgT4HN-mO4Be_J_mE/s1600/1207-angelina-jolie-johnny-depp-05-480x720.jpg

The questions centered mostly on Jolie’s children, Jolie’s motherhood, Jolie playing tough women, Jolie playing a tigress, Jolie’s great popularity in China, what Jolie thinks about bin Laden (“I’m here in the context of Kung Fu Panda; I’d rather not get into such a heavy issue”), and when Jolie was going to come visit China. No one asked when Jolie was going to adopt a Chinese baby, but we got there five minutes late.

The last time the Kung Fu Panda gang was at Cannes, Black accidentally spilled the beans about Jolie’s pregnancy, and then Hoffman spilled the beans about her due date, overtaking the news cycle. This time around, both kept mostly quiet, seemingly amused by the single-mindedness of the room’s hive mind. Not prompted by any question, Hoffman leaned into the mike and said, “I do feel if we had a male director, I would have had a bigger part.” Later: “Since I finally got asked a question … ” One reporter asked the group, “Where do you find inner peace?” Hoffman replied, “I’ve never been so at peace as I am at this moment, being this famous, in front of all these cameras, and sitting next to Angelina.”
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjunf98pW0wlIlr8TegKZPuMZtfHMe5oF_pDFrItoKr-FYnV8R2KD9UHYpEnezJc4fvAN0M1NdJ0lM89GX9U6rW_2JkOr9ndqV-NKuzaEDnE6MGC5xR2xH9NiXCcmjNWNmurvDoKbsLJDM/s1600/1216-angelina-jolie-johnny-depp-10-480x720.jpg

When another reporter asked the group about their favorite cartoons growing up, Hoffman said, “Being perhaps the oldest person in the room — if anyone is older, please stand now — I remember the first film I ever saw was Bambi.” No one stood. He also cited a rendition of Pinocchio in which the puppet lays too close to the fire and has his legs burnt off. “What version did you see?!” asked a horrified Jolie.

When BRAD PITT filmed a totally uncredited cameo for the new Bosnian War film/ love story baby-momma ANGELINA JOLIE’s directing, it was just for a giggle – he and Ange thought it’d be fun to see whether moviegoers would spot him in his blink-and-ya-miss-it role playing a soldier shot by a sniper – but suddenly, Brad’s brief scene’s NO laughing matter.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBw4t9-3C0VQyCqbHe1sZjh_bEquBXlDfLs_K7QiUiRH_xHjf9evT0GFL2fNOJiBq1HHMbwyHP8P5cqxm7G1Z6m9P2gXCFg4Ww0SGKZ9srO7i072DldKzZ2jX9vJFUzBcvb6XKUgyLX5s/s1600/1207-angelina-jolie-johnny-depp-23-480x720.jpg
Director Jolie just fired the first shot in what’s shaping up to be “World War 3” with the film’s producers! Said a behind-the-scenes insider: “Trouble started brewing when Angelina turned over the final cut of the film, which still has the working title of ‘Untitled Bosnian Love Story’ – but at three hours screen time, it’s way too long. It needs to be cut to two hours and a half, or less. After viewing it, editors recommended cutting Brad’s surprise cameo. It’s a short, valiant death scene – but not significant to the story line, so producers told director Jolie to chop it.”
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidtcRDpuo-XdYTzIe7SpkMTzOUdLfZeO6hC8VeVyEXDKW9r2UOqiJHwmogIS7BlDUOzIIFbV4PI2t443FABC0bi9VyL2kbgpeLUHzRBp91cTk2mbyYpDzR07GqC09uMypWEeB_5maZDG0/s1600/1207-angelina-jolie-johnny-depp-00-480x720.jpg
Angelina’s “Tomb Raider” response: I’LL BE CHOPPING, BOYS – BUT IT WON’T BE BRAD’S SCENE! “She was furious, and immediately pulled rank as the film’s director and writer,” said the source.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimSgi7iGTSR0HHMKqOxkqwfdH9iKjpcBE-PwwB0Lg8483caNasOji4uBXZ72BywpTXzgLC7wQnWdt1xS4X7I3C2qt8cvJUy9iF6QRRDEN7_Z1Fa7PX-in6XS1HPsKjx6WUe5pHOuJa3NM/s1600/1207-angelina-jolie-johnny-depp-09-480x720.jpg
“She told the powers-that-be that Brad’s scene stays… period! Angelina knows that because the news that Brad shot the scene leaked to the press, fans will thrill to the challenge of trying to spot the superstar – so she’s flatly refused to ‘kill’ her live-in’s death scene.”
And why would producers kill a built-in publicity coup like that? Stay tuned.

Alexander Calder 1965 Post Aricle | The swinging art and the man who created it

Saturday Evening Post Feb. 27, 1965
with a Calder mobile on the front cover.

My husband Brian Ladd, is always looking around on the net for cool mobile art related stuff for me. On Ebay he bought me this vintage magazine... The Saturday Evening Post Feb. 27, 1965. I just love it. Not only is it old and in great shape... it didn't smell like mold! It also had a great article on my favorite artist... Alexander Calder. The front cover shows a child reaching up to touch one of Calder's mobiles.

The start of the article shows an action photo of Calder sitting in the center stationary,
and the motion of his mobiles in action. The first piece shown is a stabile, I have not seen it anywhere, it is called "Rat". I love it!! The humor of Calder really shows!

On the left a stabile "Bucephalus", on the right "Five Rudders".

Shown above is the Alexander Calder show at the Guggenheim. Where people were able to actually touch the giant stabiles and mobiles. "Albert Einstein once spent 40 minutes watching the entire cycle of a motorized mobile called A Universe at the Museum of Modern Art, and reportedly said he wishes he had thought of it himself".

Alexander Calder | Photo Shoot | Photos | Pictures | Images | Rare Photos

I have decided to start an ARTIST MONDAY section, where I post images an inspirational artist on the blog every week. I shall start with Calder ((1898-1976), whose illustrious career spanned much of the 20th century, and is the most acclaimed and influential sculptor of our time. Calder utilized his innovative genius to profoundly change the course of modern art. He began by developing a new method of sculpting: by bending and twisting wire, he essentially "drew" three-dimensional figures in space. He is renowned for the invention of the mobile, whose suspended, abstract elements move and balance in changing harmony.

Damages season four TV billboard...

Damages season 4 TV billboard
Glenn Close and Rose Byrne are back for a fourth season of Damages, joined by John Goodman for another intriguing billboard for the legal drama.

However the overall effect of the billboard is slightly spoiled by the 'Only on DirecTV' copy which is so prominent (but that's obviously the price of being picked up and renewed for another two seasons by the network, after previously being aired on FX).

This TV billboard was snapped along Sunset Boulevard on July 17, 2011 and if you're a fan of the show, be sure to also check out Damages season three billboard.

Storage Wars season two TV billboard...

Storage Wars season 2 billboard
If there's one way to grab people's attention it's to throw money around and this billboard for the second season of Storage Wars does just that with this fun creative. The treasure hunters looks like they would fit right in to Las Vegas, rather than the less glamourous surroundings of repossessed storage units scouring for forgotten valuables to auction off.

This television billboard was snapped along Sunset Boulevard in A&E's regular location on July 5, 2011.

Be sure to also check out the first season billboard for Storage Wars here at Daily Billboard.
