About Saris (Sarees)

Two iconic legends of Rock grace Sunset Boulevard this month, infamous guitarist, Slash, and the 'Prince of Darkness' himself, Ozzy Osbourne (and his wife Sharon).

It's clever that the L.A. Dodgers placed these billboards along The Sunset Strip to coincide with the third annual Music Festival held there which starts August 26-28, 2010.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. From sci-fi's infamous Captain James T. Kirk to some show about $#*! my dad says.

Mr. Shatner are you just angry that they killed off your character in Star Trek Generations and that Spock was used in J.J. Abrams successful big screen remake?

Anyway that was my initial thoughts when I saw this billboard featuring William Shatner. It turns out he's the star of a new sitcom based on the Twitter feed by comedy writer Justin Halpern, although 'Bleep' my dad says is the toned down version of the original source material, which was apparently about quotes from his father Sam.

TV WEEK: The Defenders billboard...

Even though I like this quirky billboard for The Defenders, I do wonder if Hollywood's TV Studios are running out of ideas. Not only do we have the remake of Hawaii Five-O to look forward to this season, but The Defenders was an American courtroom drama show in the 1960's and the concept is being dusted off and getting a makeover.

This new version looks like it'll be a bit less socially conscious and more out for laughs, with Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell as a pair of Las Vegas defense attorneys.
